Convergys Announces Management Changes to Focus on Faster Growth
Convergys Corporation announced several management changes effective February 1.
According to Chairman, President, and CEO Jim Orr, "These changes will allow Convergys to deploy our talented management team more effectively and to execute our strategy better, especially in the current economy. They reflect a better alignment with our important business objectives, a more strategic approach to global market opportunities, and a clearer focus on growth and results."
Convergys is creating the position of Executive Vice President, Global Information Management, reporting to Mr. Orr, and has named current Chief Development Officer Dave Dougherty to the position.

Convergys is creating the position of Executive Vice President, Global Information Management, reporting to Mr. Orr, and has named current Chief Development Officer Dave Dougherty to the position.

Information Management business.
Convergys is also creating the position of Executive Vice President, Global Customer Management and Employee Care, reporting to Mr. Orr, and has named current Chief Financial Officer Steve Rolls to the position.
In his new role, Rolls will have worldwide responsibility for the company's Customer Management and Employee Care businesses.
Rolls will assume these new responsibilities after Convergys completes its search for a new CFO. In the interim, Rolls will retain his current CFO and Employee Care business unit responsibilities.
Bob Marino, currently President of Convergys Information Management Group, is leaving the company effective February 14 following a seven-year tenure as a senior executive.
Larry Schwartz, currently Executive Vice President, Information Management Group, North America, has been named President of Convergys Information Management Group, North America, reporting to Mr. Dougherty.
Jack Freker, currently Executive Vice President, Operations, for Convergys' Customer Management Group, has been named President, Convergys Customer Management Group, responsible for worldwide leadership of the customer management business, reporting to Mr. Rolls.
Ron Schultz, currently President of Convergys' Customer Management Group, has been named Senior Vice President, Business Development, and will assume responsibility for business alliances, sales support, and communications. He will report to Mr. Orr.
Mr. Orr added, "I am confident in the experience and leadership Dave Dougherty and Steve Rolls bring to these critical new positions which are focused on accelerating global growth. Dave has served in executive leadership positions with Convergys and its predecessor companies for over a decade. He helped establish our Customer Management Group and developed our well-defined strategic initiatives and successfully managed a period of rapid growth for our company. Steve Rolls joined Convergys prior to our Initial Public Offering (IPO), and as our first Chief Financial Officer, established Convergys' consistent record of financial performance and helped expand Convergys' leading position in the global marketplace."
"Both Jack Freker and Larry Schwartz also bring valuable experience and strong leadership to their new positions. Jack has been with Convergys for over ten years and has held numerous senior management positions within the Customer Management Group, during which time the business grew five-fold. Larry joined Convergys in June of 2002 and prior to that held senior positions at Compaq, Tandem Computers, and Nortel Networks," said Mr. Orr.
Mr. Orr continued, "I know the combined strengths of these leaders working with our entire management team will better position Convergys to be successful in today's challenging economic conditions."
