Dthree Uses Oracle(R) WebCenter to Deliver Enterprise 2.0 Marketing Management Platform

Oracle today announced that dthree, a leader in customer interaction management, is using Oracle® Database and several components of Oracle Fusion Middleware to power its soon-to-be-released IntelliMaxx 5.0 platform.

To help companies build stronger, more sustainable relationships between their customers and their brands, dthree, a member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork, created IntelliMaxx 5.0, an online marketing management platform that provides marketers with context-driven business intelligence and collaboration tools to improve campaign and business results. To build the platform, dthree required an infrastructure that could easily scale to accommodate management and analysis of rapidly growing data sets generated through customer interactions across multiple channels. The company also needed to maintain the flexibility and security necessary to help its clients and their customers take advantage of the range of rich Internet applications and functionality enabled by Web 2.0 technology. By deploying a software infrastructure from Oracle, dthree met both of these goals.

"For most marketers the complexity of their jobs is accelerating at an unprecedented pace," said Keyvan Cohanim, chief executive officer, dthree. "An increasing volume of data is coming at them from fragmented sources and being presented in multiple formats that often have little or nothing to do with the context in which the marketers will actually use the information. Using Oracle infrastructure software, we developed a platform that manages, analyzes and consolidates this wide array of data into a format from which marketers can easily take action to improve campaign performance on the fly."

Leveraging the Oracle Database and components of Oracle Fusion Middleware including Oracle Application Server, Oracle Business Intelligence Discoverer, Oracle Internet Directory, Oracle Universal Content Management, and Oracle WebCenter, dthree's IntelliMaxx interface consolidates multiple data sources into a secure, role-based, context-sensitive, real-time view of critical business information. The platform enables marketers to gain insight into customer behaviors and campaign success rates, collaborate more easily, and improve marketing effectiveness mid-stream, instead of waiting until a campaign has run its course to discover if it achieved the desired results. For example, using IntelliMaxx, the manager of a global email campaign can access a personalized workspace that may include charts highlighting key performance indicators, a blog containing the latest version of the campaign, external news feeds regarding industry or demographic trends, all emails and instant messages related to the campaign's development, and presence-aware contact information for key members of the marketing team. If the manager notices response rates are down for a specific customer segment, he can use this same workspace to collaborate with a business analyst regarding the reason for the low response rates, read the reply from the analyst, securely correspond with team members regarding potential changes, modify the campaign, and monitor the effects of the change in real-time -- all within the same screen.

"One of the key elements of Oracle WebCenter is that it allows us to deliver information in context," said Cohanim.

"The CEO, CFO and CMO might all have a need to access the same data set, but information needs to be presented in a manner specific to each person's role and level of security clearance. Oracle WebCenter makes that level of personalization possible within IntelliMaxx," said Igor Nesmyanovich, chief technology officer, dthree. "And, because it is so easy to configure, a user can quickly create individual workspaces that consolidate relevant information for each of their projects or campaigns."
