Purisma Data Hub 3.5 Supports Clustering for High Performance
Purisma™ today announced Purisma Data Hub 3.5, the latest version of its rapidly deployed, highly accurate master data management (MDM) solution. Purisma Data Hub 3.5 utilizes server clustering for high performance and availability. A grid-based computing platform and intelligent load balancing deliver the scalability and fault tolerance necessary for large-scale, mission critical deployments. In addition, Release 3.5 provides enhancements to create corporate family trees that model how companies view and interact with their largest customers while still keeping them in sync with trusted, reference data sources like D&B. Purisma Data Hub 3.5 is available immediately.
“As MDM matures and is adopted as the standard means for managing data as a corporate asset, flexibility and scalability will become key product differentiators,” said Aaron Zornes, founder and chief research officer for the CDI-MDM Institute. “One of the best means to support large-scale business-to-business and business-to-consumer MDM applications is to use a grid-based computing model, which will ensure the highest levels of availability, scalability, and flexibility.”
With the intelligent clustering of Purisma Data Hub 3.5, high-volume data loading and processing can be performed across a grid of up to 16 servers. Spreading web service requests and data stewardship access across multiple servers protects the data from a single point of failure and ensures faster access and greater throughput.
Key Features of Purisma Data Hub 3.5
Clustering for High Performance/High Availability — Distributes web services and data steward activity across application server nodes to balance real-time and concurrent user loads. High availability for mission-critical deployments is ensured by automatically redirecting traffic away from failed server nodes. Distributed data processing also speeds up large batch data loads.
Purisma’s clustering architecture is compatible with Oracle 10g grids to ensure scalability and availability of the database tier as well as the application tier.
Enhanced D&B Corporate Family Tree Management — Purisma continues to lead the market in hierarchy management with the ability to add logical structures to D&B corporate family trees in order to transform corporate legal views into line-of-business hierarchies that include franchises, minority owned subsidiaries, and global business units. This allows sales and marketing organizations to view their customers the way they interact with them, rather than forcing them to use complex, fragmented legal hierarchies.
Best of all, these customized corporate family trees still stay in sync with D&B. As D&B updates corporate legal structures to reflect ongoing mergers and acquisitions, Purisma Data Hub will automatically and appropriately update the derived hierarchies.
“Our customers have begun making MDM the core of their data management infrastructure, and we are responding to that trend by delivering scalability and high availability,” said Pete Daffern, CEO and chairman of Purisma. "Purisma offers an enterprise-ready solution that can be deployed rapidly and evolve to meet a multitude of business challenges over time."
