Sawfish Software Achieves 300% Growth
Sawfish Software, the York-based developer of SalesFlow and DebtFlow, has become one of Yorkshire’s fastest growing companies as the business has moved into profit.
The firm’s annual turnover to the end of February 2007 was £1.45 million, showing growth of almost 300% on the previous financial year.
Sawfish Software’s EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) was £218,000, a year-on-year increase of £546,000. The annual net profit was £126,783, reversing a trading deficit of £288,000 last year.
In the previous 12 months, Sawfish Software signed up more than 30 new clients, including completing two deals with a value in excess of £450,000.
Steve Hull, chief executive of Sawfish Software, said: “In an industry expanding at an average rate of 25 to 30%, such massive company growth in the last twelve months is testament to the strength of the products. SalesFlow and DebtFlow are exciting and innovative products, combining workflow process with customer relationship management (CRM) and best practice. These are the first such products available online as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), enabling subscribers to access relevant information from any internet browser worldwide.
“SalesFlow and DebtFlow satisfy requirements which other systems cannot, allowing our subscribers to make the most of each business opportunity, reducing lost leads, and tracking closely the relationship with each client.
“The growth of Sawfish Software is achieved by managing each sales lead, by developing our growing number of staff and providing them with the information and communications technologies with which they can do their jobs most efficiently.
“With the correct management and support we have been able to drive productivity levels higher. Additionally, we have sought to evolve and improve processes to provide the best practices for the ongoing development of our business. Each and every person within Sawfish Software strives to continually learn and improve, while sharing ideas with colleagues in a people to people process.”
Sawfish Software recently appointed Roger Queen as non-executive director. Roger’s role is to raise further capital to fund the continued growth of the business.
