Redback Networks Goes Live with Firepond’s Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ™) OnDemand Software
FP Technology (OTCBB: FPTI), marketed as Firepond, has signed Redback Networks, an Ericsson company that makes video-centric routers for 75 percent of the world’s triple-play networks, as a customer of its Firepond CPQ™ OnDemand software product. Redback will deploy Firepond’s CPQ OnDemand product fully integrating with salesforce.com’s sales force automation (SFA) application, improving user adoption and automating the sales process for Redback’s extensive global sales force.
Redback Networks, based in San Jose, Calif., has more than 500 carrier customers worldwide and manages 50 million broadband connections for 15 of the top 20 telephone carriers worldwide. Redback's multi-service routing platform delivers next generation broadband services such as VoIP, IPTV and On-Demand Video. With an extensive salesforce dedicated to providing superior customer service, Redback is focused on providing its sales people with the highest quality and most effective tools for simplifying the sales process. After using traditional enterprise software for many years, Redback has turned to Firepond’s on-demand software to address the growing need for its sales team to utilize quicker and more cost effective and accurate tools for configuring, pricing and quoting to customers.
