Harte-Hanks Acquires StepDot Software GmbH

Harte Hanks Inc., a worldwide direct and targeted marketing company, announced that it has acquired StepDot Software GmbH of Germany. StepDot, based in Boblingen, Germany, has been a value-added reseller specializing in data quality and integration solutions for Harte Hanks since 2002.

Harte-Hanks further announced that it plans to integrate StepDot into its Trillium Software operations, and will now do business as Harte-Hanks Trillium Software - Germany GmbH.

"Combining Harte Hanks Trillium Software and StepDot continues a Harte Hanks strategy of building world-class solutions that enable organizations to achieve total data quality while also expanding our company's presence globally," said Richard Hochhauser, president & chief executive officer, Harte-Hanks.

StepDot has numerous corporations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland among its clients, representing financial services, automotive and pharmaceutical among other sectors.

"StepDot has the same values and commitment to client success that are key to our own company's continued growth, and it shares our commitment to deliver industry-leading data quality solutions for Central Europe."

Financial terms of the acquisition agreement are not disclosed. As a result of the acquisition, Klaus Webersinke, chief executive officer of StepDot, now is named vice president, Central Europe, for Harte-Hanks Trillium Software.
