Genius Inc. Announces Recipient of the First Annual SalesGenius Hall of Fame Award
Genius Incorporated™, an innovator of on-demand personal web analytics solutions for sales and marketing professionals, announced that David Berman, vice-president of world-wide sales, at on WebEx, is the recipient of its first annual “SalesGenius Hall of Fame Awards.” Berman was presented with the award last night, to an audience of over 400, at the SalesGenius launch party, held at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
Berman was honored for his part in creating an integrated online selling methodology that allows WebEx to generate qualified leads, and acquire and service customers, at well below the software industry’s average cost.
WebEx’s Berman recognized that the slow, expensive ‘golf-game dependent’ selling processes of the past have been replaced with a model that combines high-touch personal selling with high-velocity web-based commerce—the new “web-touch” model. This methodology has become a critical component for on-demand application providers.
“Dave Berman is a perfect example of a sales genius. He has been at the vanguard of a sweeping change in the way companies sell to the world,” noted David Thompson, CEO of Genius Incorporated, sponsor of the SalesGenius Hall of Fame Award. “Using the web-touch method that David innovated, sales teams can now leverage web-based technologies to achieve global reach and drive low-cost revenue growth without stretching themselves thin.”
According to Berman, “The Willie Loman days of selling software are long dead. That model is not efficient or effective and hasn’t evolved with the reality of the market. In my opinion, if you don’t have at least a small team selling online you’re losing money.” Berman added, “This award, and the SalesGenius product, indicates a shift in thinking about how we should be doing business on the web. I am pleased to be its first recipient.”
Genius Incorporated’s SalesGenius Hall of Fame Awards will be held annually to honor innovators in sales who bring game changing leadership ideas, process and results into the sales arena.
