Headwaters MB Selects LexisNexis Interface Software as CRM Provider

LexisNexis Interface Software (LNIS) announced that Headwaters MB, a middle market merchant bank, has selected InterAction(R) as its CRM solution. Denver-based Headwaters advises companies with enterprise values between $20 million and $300 million in investment banking transactions and plans to use InterAction as the front-end software in the continued development of its proprietary relationship database. LexisNexis is a leading provider of information and services solutions, including CRM applications, to a wide range of professionals.

In addition to its Denver headquarters, Headwaters is rolling out the InterAction product to its offices in Atlanta, Boston and Jacksonville, FL.

"We needed a system to facilitate firm-wide information sharing," said Paul Janson, President of Headwaters MB. "InterAction allows our senior bankers to institutionalize knowledge and better track opportunities for business development."

Prior to InterAction, employees recorded contact details in Microsoft Outlook, creating disconnected silos of information on each individual desktop. The company utilized two other CRM systems but upgraded to InterAction given its superior functionality.

"The ability to aggregate and manage firm contact data efficiently has been terrifically helpful in executing several marketing initiatives," said Brendan Burke, Director of Corporate Communications at Headwaters MB. "InterAction has smoothed the path to more frequent and efficient communication with our clients."

Headwaters will also take specific advantage of InterAction's Relationship Intelligence functionality, including Who Knows Whom(TM), which allows employees to gauge who has existing relationships with a contact, and the nature and history of that relationship.

Additionally, Headwaters is in the process of implementing the InterAction Opportunities(TM) module, which will empower the firm to better manage deals and opportunities. The solution will also help the firm track progress against goals and forecasts.

To select and implement LexisNexis Interface Software's technology, Headwaters worked with Swimfish, a strategic management and technology consulting practice that helps financial services firms select and implement CRM technology, including a hosted model of InterAction.

During this effort, Headwaters reviewed about a dozen systems, but ultimately selected InterAction for its close alignment to financial services needs, including the ability to track deals and tie together relationships held by every member of the firm.
