Cognos announced that Forrester Research, Inc. has recognized Cognos as a leader in BI reporting and analysis platforms, according to the new Forrester Wave™: BI Reporting and Analysis Platforms, Q1 2006. Forrester ranked Cognos as a leader based on the company’s strategy, market presence, and current offering, Cognos 8 Business Intelligence.
The comprehensive report found that Cognos 8 BI received top scores among the 10 participating vendor offerings in the categories of product direction, strategy, and market presence. Specifically, Cognos was cited for its clear analytic reporting leadership and enterprise reporting, and being the only vendor to include both capabilities in a single product.
