communications industry, announced that convergent carrier, Maroc
Telecom, Morocco's largest telecommunications company, has selected and
recently launched into production MyNetonomy Channel Activator and MyNetonomy
Order Activator, two products in Netonomy's award winning customer
self-service suite, MyNetonomy.
Sales staff in Maroc Telecom's points-of-sale
are using Channel Activator to order and activate telephony and broadband
data accounts and services for residential customers; while Maroc Telecom's
account teams and customer service agents are using Order Activator to
activate a wide variety of communications services for business and corporate
customers, including PSTN, DSL, X25, X28, Frame Relay and leased lines, as
well as supplementary services like voicemail, IP-VPN's, and PBX
connectivity.
Maroc Telecom wants to offer new and innovative wireline services to both
its residential and business customers and needed an efficient and reliable
system for selling and provisioning those services through all its sales
channels and customer touch points - point-of-sale stores, call center,
self-service, etc. MyNetonomy provides Maroc Telecom a best-of-breed,
telecom-focused customer acquisition and service activation system that
accurately models all telecom product and service offerings - wireline,
wireless and convergent - as part of its standard product catalog. In
addition, the service activation and order management functionality provided
as standard features of the product, enable telecom operators to quickly and
efficiently monetize those innovative new services that creative marketing
departments dream-up.
With deployments at leading operators in ten countries across four
continents - including operators like Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone -
MyNetonomy is battletested, providing carrier-grade performance and
reliability, ensuring that each service activation process is completed
accurately and efficiently.
"We were looking for a system that could improve the entire customer
acquisition and service activation process to make it as effective and
efficient as possible," said Fadhel Kraiem, CIO of Maroc Telecom. "We wanted
a packaged software application that would accelerate the project by
providing as much of the required capabilities as part of a standard product,
and could be implemented, extended and supported by one of our trusted
systems integration partners. MyNetonomy's telecom-focused product and
service catalog and its packaged capabilities in order and service management
matched our needs, while its flexible architecture could be extended to
fulfill our customer care specific requirements and provided easy integration
into our back-end IT infrastructure."
"Customer and service activation are the lifeblood of a telecom
operator," said John Hughes, cofounder and executive vice president of
Netonomy. "Improving the order management and service activation processes
can provide enormous gains to the bottom line. But at the same time, changing
those processes and doing it wrongly can have disastrous effects on the
business. The fact that Maroc Telecom entrusted Netonomy to improving this
vitally important part of their business is a testament to the carrier-grade
quality of our products and the value they deliver."
MyNetonomy was deployed along with a new billing system from LHS. ATOS
Origin was the lead systems integrator on the implementation.
