Motive Teams with Radialpoint to Enhance Internet Security Management
Motive, Inc. announced that it has entered into an agreement with Radialpoint, a provider of managed security services, to integrate Motive’s Internet Security Management Solution with Radialpoint Security Services. This move will help broadband providers drive subscriber adoption of optimal Internet security practices that help protect against unexpected service threats and interruptions. Bell Canada, a Motive and Radialpoint customer, will use the integrated solution to improve its Internet security practices.
Online security is one of the top concerns for today’s broadband subscribers. Viruses, spyware and other threats can lead to costly problems if not held in check.
Online security is one of the top concerns for today’s broadband subscribers. Viruses, spyware and other threats can lead to costly problems if not held in check.
While many providers have begun to address these risks, the National Cyber Security Alliance reports that as much as two-thirds of all Internet users continue to be exposed to Web-based threats. This is an important issue for providers trying to reduce the number of security incidents that lead to subscriber frustration, increased support calls and churn.
Radialpoint Security Services is a suite of managed services that enables broadband providers to rapidly and effectively add security to their services portfolio. These services include anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewall, parental control and pop-up blocker services that automatically detect and prevent security threats.
Motive’s Internet Security Management Solution — which includes Motive’s Security FAST module, Self-Service Manager, and Customer Service Manager — provides broadband subscribers with a holistic view of the security status of their Digital Home environments and ensures they have the right Internet security components in place, including those from Radialpoint. In addition, when subscribers call a provider’s help desk with security issues, customer service agents can use Motive software to access real-time information about current Internet security settings, and help customers detect vulnerabilities and take corrective actions more quickly.
Using Motive software, broadband providers can deliver automated Internet security services to subscribers that simplify the management of their online security environment inclusive of Web-browsers, operating systems and home networks.
“Radialpoint offers managed Internet security services that broadband providers can deliver to their customers quickly, easily and profitably,” said Hunt Norment, vice president of marketing and product development at Radialpoint. “By combining our expertise in delivering value-added services with Motive’s proven management software, we are able to help providers enhance the delivery and overall value of their security offerings.”
