Milestone Group Drops Salesforce.com in Favor of Entellium

Entellium Corp. announced that Milestone Group, a professional services firm that helps technology companies solve revenue and growth challenges, switched to Entellium from Salesforce.com (NYSE: CRM). Milestone will now standardize its CRM practices with Entellium"s recently announced PRO-Activity Release 2005.

"Our team has years of experience with CRM, so we know first-hand that user adoption is the key to success. Entellium"s solution is just faster for our people to use - Salesforce.com makes you navigate through more tabs and screens to do the same job that Entellium does in their Activity Center," said John Meaney, partner at the Milestone Group. "Our folks are much happier now that we"ve switched from Salesforce.com to Entellium, and not surprisingly, we"re seeing an

immediate lift in productivity as a result."

Meaney has a keen understanding of CRM user adoption issues, having subscribed to Salesforce.com for more than three years and Salesnet for two years. When the Salesforce.com contract came up for renewal, the Milestone Group placed a high priority on selecting a solution that considered the needs of the everyday user first and foremost. They recognized that data accuracy was being compromised because Salesforce.com required too much work to get data into the system. The company was also impressed with how much easier it was to manage " and prospect to " a database of over 20,000 contacts using Entellium.

"Entellium is the first CRM solution we"ve seen that really removes the hassles that consume a salesperson"s time, while still giving us the management reports we wanted. There are a lot of capabilities in Entellium that Salesforce.com just doesn"t offer. Features like the Document Automator, Predictive Navigation, as well as superior list management mean that our sales team spends less time with the CRM system and more time with customers closing deals," said Meaney.

The Milestone Group thinks about its clients" revenue challenges differently. Rather than advise on a sales methodology during a quick one-time engagement, the firm rolls up its sleeves to work "in the trenches," directly with clients to improve revenue streams over time. In fact, many Milestone Group partners are acting vice presidents of sales, business development, and/or marketing for their clients " complete with branded business cards.

Entellium develops CRM applications that are focused on making the daily lives of sales, service and marketing employees easier, with advanced automation features not found in any other hosted CRM solution. The company"s recent PRO-Activity Release was based on more than 43,000 hours of usability research, with the result being the most user-centric CRM solution on the market today. In addition, the Entellium CRM suite has a lower total cost of ownership than Salesforce.com"s Professional and Enterprise Editions.

"Most CRM solutions have been built around management requirements, but haven"t fully considered employee requirements - Entellium recognizes that there needs to be a much better balance," said Natalee Roan, Entellium"s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "Entellium builds applications that match how sales and service representatives go about their day, to actually help them get their work done faster. We"re noticing a number of companies like Milestone Group are switching from Salesforce.com to Entellium because they finally have a real choice that addresses user adoption concerns."

Entellium received top scores from Forrester Research, a leading analyst firm, in usability and cost in the recent 2005 Forrester Wave report: Hosted Sales Force Automation(1). Entellium also received a perfect 5.0 score for lead management, multiple sales processes, and global support which includes free 24/7 real-time support via live chat for every single user.
