Salesnet Launches Industry’s First official Development Site for Salesnet integrations
“SalesnetDeveloper.
SalesnetDeveloper.com provides a single location that brings together all forms of developer resources that relate to integrating Salesnet’s on-demand CRM platform with other core business systems including premise-based, on-demand, and home-grown applications, as well as with other legacy systems. The site was created in an effort to further educate developers on integration techniques for leveraging Salesnet APIs, Integration-Links and Integration-as-a-Service™ to further the usage of Salesnet and improve sales effectiveness throughout any organization.
SalesnetDeveloper.com provides the following resources, and much more:
- Developer Blog: Online journal to encourage developer’s to share ideas, concepts and challenges in a free-form medium. Built to inspire creativity and productivity.
- Downloads: Library of technical information such as code samples, integration examples and projects from customers, partners and Salesnet experts designed to demonstrate successful integration techniques.
- Discussion Forums: An open forum where clients, partners and Salesnet developers can create topical discussion threads (posts and replies) based on specific integration subject matter. Developers can interact and share experiences, tips and accomplishments by asking questions and reviewing postings. Salesnet can then leverage developer feedback to incorporate into future integration support materials and product updates.
- News Feeds:A recommendation list from Salesnet’s development team that provides web resources for the most up-to-the minute news and technology resource websites that support the latest integration techniques.
- FAQs: Frequently Asked Question’s compiled directly from the SalesnetDeveloper.com site. Also provides answers to questions most commonly asked of Salesnet’s Customer Support organization.
“SalesnetDeveloper.com is another reinforcement of our commitment to further provide the configurability, usability, and integration options that enterprises need to fully connect their CRM system to other mission critical applications,” said Rich Perkett, co-founder and CTO at Salesnet. “The site is the logical next step in furthering the proliferation of integration techniques we have mastered in working with our enterprise customers over the last five years. We now have a formal, centralized forum and resource area that provides developers with the information needed to make Salesnet the hub for the exchange of data throughout an enterprise.”
The launch of SalesnetDeveloper.com is the latest in integration innovation exhibited by Salesnet since going to market in 2000. SalesnetDeveloper.com joins a long line of Salesnet integration firsts including:
- In 2001, Salesnet released Integration-Links, which are intelligent hyperlinks to Web or Intranet pages that pass along pre-selected Salesnet data to the destination Web site.
- Less than a year later, Salesnet announced the general availability of its Web Services Application Programming Interfaces (WSAPI). The Web Services leverage XML standards including SOAP, WSDL, and XSD and enable clients to easily push and pull data in and out of Salesnet programmatically.
- And, in 2003, Salesnet was the first CRM company to offer Integration-as-a-Service™, a unique approach that offers more than 200 pre-built system connections to link Salesnet with other business systems including service centers, back-office/ERP applications, and campaign management software.
In addition to the resources listed above, SalesnetDeveloper.com also offers integration success profiles of both clients and partners who have integrated Salesnet with other core business applications, including legacy and home-grown systems. Some of the integration successes featured on the site include:
- Harris Corporation - Harris Corporation's Broadcast Communications Division has successfully wrapped Salesnet’s private label solution into its MediaExec CRM software system. The integration of Salesnet’s front-end application and Harris’s back-office system enables media sales professionals to access a 360-degree view of customer and account data.
- UniPress Software – The integration with Salesnet and UniPress’s Web-based helpdesk solution, FootPrintsâ, provides a cost-effective solution to centrally guide, track, and manage both sales and service desk activities, and support results-driven businesses. By leveraging the integrated hosted platforms of both Salesnet and UniPress, organizations have the ability to standardize core sales and support functions through the easy to acquire, implement, and own nature on the on-demand model.
