CBill(Customer Care and Billing Application) & DAZZLE (Account Spending Limit Check application) & Breeze (Real time CDR conversion) Description: CBill is a SCO-Unix based application addressing the Billing and switch management needs in wireless networks supporting Real-Time billing. Breeze is a real-time process interfacing and handshaking with switches like Lucent, Nortel directly and also through mediation devices. Several other switches format like Ericssion AS160, Celcore. DAZZLE is a real-time Account Spending Limit (ASL) application. The real-time CDR’s from the switch are rated and checked if it exceeds the spending limit and issues warning (SMS messages) or hotlines the subscribers in question. The application has been designed in such a fashion that multiple ASL servers can be interfaced to CBill and do parallel rating. The rating engine is a high speed-rating engine and the goal is rating with a speed of 100,000 cdr’s per second. The complete application has been built with several processes / message queues with capability to save and load messages in the event of shutdown or startup, handshaking and synchronizing, audit logs, timers to schedule automatic extract and upload of subscriber information, CDR splitter to split records based on different configurable criteria’s, generalized tcpip-communication module etc. Role: Handled the following responsibilities:a) Onsite-Project Leader for the offshore team. Tasks involved analyzing requirements, help design and enhance the above applications. b) Lead the team to enhance several features of CBill Billing systemc) Other jobs involved preparing projects plan, integration, implementation and testing of the released deliverables and acceptance testing with the client.Environment: SCO Unix, Linux environment using C and UNIFY ELS and UNIFY data server 2000.

Ranger Description: Ranger is a Windows NT based multi-threaded Client-Server application addressing the subscription frauds in the GSM network with unique user configurable events and multi-media alarms. It was developed using the OOAD concepts and uses online user-per-call profiling to profile each call and to check for violation of any event configured for that subscriber. It implements unique fraud fire wall, initial credit rating, real time call profiling using object oriented database, flexible subscriber grouping for events, ability to change the event threshold for each user depending on his historic calling pattern data, 3 levels of security, case management and reporting, configurable suggested actions.Role: Handled the following responsibilities:d) Lead the team to develop call filtering & conversion utility to convert the raw data from GSM Erricsson Switch into Ranger specific format for generating subscriber profiles. e) Was involved in developing several features in the Ranger Fraud management System. f) Was involved in preparing technical architecture and project plan for mediation device to handle CDR distribution/filtering and subscriber authentication with different switches.Environment: Client server environment using VC++/under NT workstation and SQL Server under NT server, Crystals Reports, Pinnacle Graphics Server, Far point Spreadsheets, Install shield etc.Nortel DMS MTX08 CDR Converter Description: This is a Call Conversion utility for Nortel MTX08 Switch which takes care of conversion of the raw CDR’s and assemble the CDR generated in parts to build a collapsed CDR The converter takes care of identifying the different types of records and validates each field against the defined ranges. Fascel Customer Care Billing System Description: The system development involved CDR transfer from switch, study of call generation principles & analysis, conversion of data from Nokia DX 800 switch V7A, V7B, identifying different calls from multiple GSM switches, analyzing inter MSC call handovers, short message calls, national roaming and international roaming calls, identifying features like call hold, call wait, conference calls, closed user group calls, filtering validating & pricing each call according to different tariff plan, provisioning the subscriber on the switch with the help of programs and MML command scripts etc. The software also involved, support for service order maintenance like generating and assigning mobile numbers, phoneset, change of service, order confirmation, activation, suspension, reactivation, service order info with respect to order no., order type/status, support for payment handling like order payments, adjustments, discounts, print/cancel receipts with control on cahier work shifts, A/R balance displays, shift reports, and support for invoicing with features like generation, applying promotional schemes, AR adjustments/Cut advance payments, aging subscriber details, cycle wise bill generation.
