Job Description:This individual will be responsible for applying standard staff management techniques to drive continual improvement in performance and motivation. Candidate provides staff in unit with performance indicators utilizing IPWs and is responsible for staff acquisition and termination; responsible for maximizing staffing efficiency and effectiveness by applying understanding of OE/OD concepts and fundamentals. Must utilize knowledge of market and technology trends to update unit staff and to support departmental decision- making; mentor staff in applying appropriate new technologies and best practices to the specific discipline or functional area. Maintain team effectiveness when working closely with people of diverse cultures or backgrounds and during major organizational, departmental or team changes. Assists staff to successfully adapt to major changes in procedures and to adjust effectively to changing procedures for accomplishing work and frequently changing work assignments. Clarifies and provides feedback to staff to strengthen their performance and improve their skills in a particular area. Determines how much guidance an individual needs to complete a task successfully. Diagnoses problems and shares solutions to create learning experiences for staff. Responsible for using a systematic method of observing and evaluating team performance. Delegates tasks and activities to the appropriate individuals based on their skills, roles, and interests. Provides guidance and instruction when delegating. Requests that direct reports think through issues and reach a tentative decision before asking for help. Identifies ways to make work for staff more efficient and more productive. Responsible for questioning methods to ensure quality and makes suggestions to Senior Manager or Director to improve unit processes. Develops solutions that help staff and customers in both the short and long-term. Schedules staff work so that the most important work gets done. Is accountable for decisions, actions and commitments of self and staff to successfully meet unit and project objectives. Adjusts staff schedule based on priority situations. Anticipates requirements and ensures preparedness of self and team to achieve desired results. Responsible for informing affected internal/external customers of changes in a timely manner. Ensures compliance with departmental and organizational quality standards. Implements and enforces departmental procedures to ensure high quality output (i.e. code walk-throughs, technical reviews, documentation).

Job Description:An IS Systems Business Analyst (SBA) supports the delivery and/or maintenance of a fully functioning system for the client team. This could be a newly created, customized system and it could involve enhancement of an existing system. The SBA will be involved in identifying, developing and documenting detailed specifications, and will usually participate in creating the project plan itself. This Systems Business Analyst (SBA) position is specifically focused on the Siebel application that is in place across BCBSNC. A Siebel SBA must understand specific parts of the organization and have the ability to describe the business workflow using process flow diagrams and/or one or several business use-cases. Business use-cases must establish the business actors and how they interact with each other. More importantly, a Siebel SBA must have the skill set to capture business requirements focusing on the needs and goals of the user. They must also be able to design a Siebel user interface focused on the needs and goals of the users, taking the Enterprise solution into consideration. As part of Requirements Gathering and Design, a Siebel SBA must be able to work with stakeholders to discover what the system should do and why. Additionally, they must be able to describe these business and user requests in a way that helps designers, architects and developers understand the system requirements. Additionally, a Siebel SBA must be able to identify and define system constraints. Siebel SBAs must be able to support other areas of a project by providing the basis for estimating scope and time (including planned iterations) for system development.

  • Oversee the development of standardized analysis templates for clients.
