Manager of Customer Marketing

Job Description:The Customer Marketing Manager, Direct Response will lead the planning process to define annual and seasonal marketing objectives and financial goals, while developing detailed campaign strategies and measurement, including audience selection, offer testing and contact management for the Express brand. This position will report to the Director of Customer Marketing and will have three direct reports. Specific responsibilities include: • Manage overall development and implementation of CRM marketing initiatives for the Express brand that support the financial and strategic objectives of the retail store base. • Develop and implement marketing strategies and tactics (acquisition, retention, win-back, cross-sell, up-sell). Work closely with Corporate Customer Marketing Planning to establish Seasonal campaign plans, learning agenda, business process and financial goals and develop and execute the business plan to meet those goals. • Manage relationships with cross functional teams and serve as the coordination point for all CRM activities • Identify and develop new marketing opportunities utilizing the Limited Brands database that improve financial metrics for direct mail, email and other communications. Develop offer and segmentation testing to ensure contact optimization • Work with the Customer Intelligence team to design and implement modeling and analytical improvements to enhance targeting/mining and circulation execution for promotions across all channels. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; graduate business degree a plus • Five plus years of customer marketing experience including direct marketing; preferably in a multi-channel retail environment. • Minimum 3 years management experience including demonstrated effectiveness in staff development, team building, client/vendor relations, & negotiation. • Experience in planning and executing complex direct mail programs involving multiple creative versioning, offers and testing objectives • Experience with Aprimo, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, Epiphany, Unica or related tools a plus. • Proven analytical, business planning, strategic planning and leadership skills. • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
