Marketing Analyst


Job Description
We have an immediate opening for someone living in the US with full authorization to work. The position requires Database/Direct Marketing experience – and, ideally, a strong data analysis background using database querying, mining, and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, SAS, SPSS, Cognos, etc.). This is a direct marketing execution role and we need someone that can jump right in, learn the business and environment and be productive quickly. This individual must be able to multi task and work in a fast-paced marketing agency work setting. Duties and Responsibilities: • Support variety of marketing efforts ranging from customer acquisition to customer loyalty activities. • Perform marketing database analysis and reporting. • Run queries against a database to aid in program planning and to answer ad hoc marketing questions. • Set up and utilize automation techniques to support reporting and marketing efforts. • Design and deliver standard marketing reporting package for non data savvy marketers. • Consult on existing marketing segmentation and make recommendations for enhancements. • Set up, execute and report against direct marketing campaigns using campaign management tools. • Prepare specific program deliverables (presentations, reports, graphs, etc.), utilizing database software tools.

Skills
Required Skills: Requirements: • 2 - 5 years experience in database marketing, direct marketing and / or CRM. • Auto industry experience preferred, but not required. • Demonstrated facility accessing data in a relational database environment, with Oracle experience preferred. • Hands-on experience with database querying tools, languages and analytical platforms supporting database marketing such as SQL, SAS, SPSS, Clementine, Unica or Cognos. • Knowledge of campaign management tools and industry best practices. • Creative thinking, exceptional analytical skills coupled with solid business foundation. • An innovative, positive, and self-directed attitude with an interest in “figuring out” solutions to problems or methodology for improved client deliverables. • Excellent oral/written communication skills. • Ability to operate effectively in a client-facing, multi-agency/vendor environment. • Responsive, enthusiastic, team-oriented personal style for effectiveness with client(s) and colleagues. • This is a fast paced environment that requires a high energy individual that can work well within a team structure. • BA/BS, preferably within Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or a Technology focused degree.
