Director Decision Management/Retention/CRM


Job Description
A rewarding career opportunity in Decision Management is available in Stamford, CT or Dallas, TX, locations of Consumer Lending Group. This position is responsible for supporting Retention channel and working with the marketing team to develop and execute profitable customer retention programs via multiple direct marketing vehicles, including direct mail/statement insert/email/telemarketing.

Primary duties and responsibilities include:

1. Identifying retention improvement opportunities and developing targeting strategies for marketing programs
  • Analyzing eligible/targeted universe criteria and identifying program expansion and new development opportunities to drive improved customer retention.
  • Building, implementing and validating statistical predictive models and segmentation schemes to identify most responsive/valuable targeting segments for retention.
  • Utilizing credit bureau, property, real estate loan and other external data sources for program and targeting tool development.

    2. Supporting campaign strategy formulation, design, execution and analysis through
  • Developing test design and measurement plans for retention marketing programs. Applying experimental design principles to test-and-control study design, implementation, and analysis.
  • Working with channel, marketing, and campaign management teams to ensure proper execution of campaign strategy and design. Participating in campaign file development quality control process.
  • Supporting program financial planning and forecast development, analyzing price elasticity and the impact of pricing strategies on response.
  • Tracking, analyzing and evaluating campaign performance and program metrics. Recommending optimal targeting, offers, and other improvements based on test results.

    3. Working with internal cross-functional teams and external vendors to execute projects and support marketing initiatives.

    Required Skills: The position requires strong analytical skills. Key qualifications include:
  • Masters Degree in Statistics, Math, Operations research or other related field; PhD a plus. Solid knowledge of underlying statistical theory and marketing applications of multivariate statistical modeling and experimental design techniques.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years experience developing and implementing targeting, test design, and performance measurement for direct marketing programs in the financial services industry; experience in mortgage/home equity industry a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAS and SQL; other statistical and data management software knowledge a plus.
  • Previous experience working with large volumes of data in client server and/or mainframe operating environments.
  • Strong organizational, communications and people skills. Detail oriented.
  • Must be independent and a self-starter, comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
