A certain segment of consumers are definitely ready for mobile CRM and some are already using it.
Automatic flight delay alerts, electronic banking, weather reports and sports scores can be classified as CRM. More transaction-oriented pilots are taking shape across many industries.
For example, Retailers are running pilots for in-store technologies that work with PDAs to deliver personalized promotions and offers. While it will be another two years before the retail experience is driven by mobile devices, the groundwork is being laid today.
