Stonefield Query Adds 80 Features to its Sage ERP, CRM, and Accounting Integrations
Stonefield Query makes it possible for non-technical managers and others to create custom reports from virtually any database or accounting software, generally in less than 60 seconds – and to do so without IT support.
“We’re excited that Sage software users will now be able to realize the incredible and dramatically upgraded time-saving and ease of use benefits of Stonefield Query,” according to Mickey Kupchyk, CEO of Stonefield Software. “Whether they’re in New York, Calgary or Adelaide, busy executives executives need information right now to make critical decisions. They can’t afford to wait on programmers to create specialized reports they need today.
“In today’s challenged economy, it’s essential for corporate executives to manage every cost, revenue stream, prospect, client – as well as every aspect of manufacturing, sales and delivery,” Kupchyk pointed out. “Before we developed Stonefield Query, creating custom reports that pulled crucial information out of database programs demanded either a heavy involvement of already over-taxed in-house IT professionals or the services of costly outside IT consulting professionals. Now, with Stonefield Query, non-technical executives can create even the most complex reports in a matter of seconds, merely by following our report-generating wizard.”
Stonefield created Stonefield Query to be so intuitive that users of most popular accounting and database programs, with no technology or software programming skills, can learn to use Stonefield Query in 30 minutes, then they can begin to create custom reports, usually in 60 seconds or less. This remarkable program was designed specifically for those users who are too busy to learn new software, as well as by those who are resistant to changing the way they generate reports in a currently changing business environment.
“Under-the-gun executives need information right now – not tomorrow, but right this minute,” Kupchyk noted. “Especially in this economy, time is the one thing that is in ever-shorter supply, and it’s what Stonefield Query gives back to its busy users. The popularity of Stonefield Query has made Stonefield a world leader in developing wizard-driven database reporting tools that are focused on allowing business users to create reports without having to impose further demands on their in-house or consulting IT professionals.”
Stonefield Query serves clients ranging from small businesses to large corporations, as well as government agencies such as NASA and the U.S. Defense Department. This remarkable efficiency-enhancing software makes it possible for non-technical businesspeople to create wizard-driven specialized reports from essentially all available accounting and database software – if integrations do not already exist, an easy-to-use SDK allows users to create their own integrations.
A remarkably intuitive, wizard-driven system, Stonefield Query enables business executives, sales managers and administrative assistants who need customized business reporting – once the domain of the IT help desk or expensive outside consultants – to now create their own reports, right from their desktops.
The “baker’s dozen” of the most significant upgrades in Version 3.3, all of which make Stonefield Query even more efficient and productive for end users, include:
- The new Formula Editor allows users to create their own formulas without having to use the Advanced Report Designer or having to customize the data dictionary. This further streamlines Stonefield Query’s already intuitively simple report-design process, especially for technically unsophisticated end users.
- The new Show percentage of total option now automatically adds a new percentage-reporting column to the report, ensuring that data presented is put in proper context.
- Displaying the group totals can now by illustrated in the group header – rather than the group footer – simply by turning on the new Show totals in group headers option.
- Stonefield Query now supports reports created in Crystal Reports. This allows users who have an investment in Crystal Reports to add these reports to Stonefield Query and take advantage of the benefits Stonefield Query provides.
- The Preview window can now open multiple instances, enhancing the program’s flexibility and utility. In addition, the new Preview reports in tabbed pages setting allows users to determine whether reports appear in different preview windows or different tabs in a single window when running more than one report.
- There are several new output options available, expanding users’ options and making Stonefield Query’s reports even more valuable. For example, when emailing a report, the attached report can be sent as a PDF file or other user-specified file type.
- Users can now specify whether each group in a report should be output to a separate file or email, as well as whether the email address should come from a field in the report itself, a feature sometimes called “email bursting.” This is especially useful for emailing invoices to customers.
- Users can now display fields in either database order or alphabetical order, enhancing flexibility and refining the presentation to the users’ specific needs.
- Reports are now stored as export files, with an SFX extension, and are filed in a folder structure that exactly matches the folders in the Reports Explorer.
- The new Send summary queries to database engine setting in the Options dialog allows users to specify whether Stonefield Query – or the database engine – performs the data summarization. This option significantly improves the performance of certain types of reports.
- The new Run report with no records option now allows users to run reports even when there are no records that match their specified conditions.
To help assist the user in finding the relevant data in their accounting and/or CRM database, a new feature has been added to the Stonefield Query field selection process of the data dictionaries:
- Users can now tell Stonefield Query to display in the Tables drop-down list only those tables related to tables already appearing in the selected list, streamlining the report-generating process.
