Avaya Claims Enterprise Voice Equipment Market Leadership
Avaya Inc., a global provider of business communications applications, software and services, today announced that Synergy Research Group and Current Analysis have reported Avaya’s ascendancy to the #1 position in market share for Enterprise Voice Equipment in Western Europe, displacing Alcatel-Lucent for the first time. The findings were reported in the Synergy Q3 2007 Enterprise Voice Equipment Market Share reports for the U.S. and Western Europe regions.
"We are thrilled at these results, which we believe are a strong indicator of both our industry-leading technology offerings as well as our emphasis on creating solutions that help our customers manage their communications,” said Carlos Sartorius, president, Avaya EMEA.
"Despite soft GDP growth in both the U.S. and Western Europe, we witnessed a strong sales uptick for enterprise voice equipment in both regions," said Ryan Olsen, Senior Analyst at Synergy Research Group. "Other than major leadership shifts, we also noted a robust SMB market."
