Sofrecom, a Subsidiary of France Telecom, Wins Contract to Supply New Information System for Algerie Telecom
Algeria's post and telecommunications ministry has selected Sofrecom's Gaia application to update Algerie Telecom's (the state operator) information system.
Gaia comprises pre-integrated software for every aspect of customer care (CRM, subscriber management, e-care, marketing, etc.), billing (service creation, bill payment, minimizing fraud risk, interconnections) and network management (activation, mediation, supervision, quality of service, engineering support, etc.).
This major project will bring Algerie Telecom a powerful tool for comprehensive management of its network and subscribers.

This major project will bring Algerie Telecom a powerful tool for comprehensive management of its network and subscribers.
Standardized procedures will be implemented across the country, and the new system will support organizational changes as the operator prepares to introduce new offers and secure customer loyalty.
The new information system will also generate increased revenues and productivity, coupled with optimized costs.
The modular information system, which is compatible with future technologies, will allow Algeria's incumbent operator to prepare for future market deregulation under the best possible conditions.
A pilot site will be equipped in the Algiers region before implementing the system in the Oran, Ouargla and Constantine regions. Nationwide coverage is planned within 18 months. Sofrecom will also provide training for Algerie Telecom personnel responsible for deployment of the new system.
By winning this major contract, France Telecom's Sofrecom subsidiary confirms its position as a world leader in integrated information systems solutions for global telecom operators.
