SDL Announces Availability of SDL TeamWorks 2008
SDL, a provider of Global Information Management (GIM) solutions, announced today the availability of SDL TeamWorks 2008, a complete translation management solution for language departments and translation companies.
Effective management of global information has never been more critical. The new SDL TeamWorks 2008 offers a scalable translation management system which integrates with the SDL Trados desktop technology. Through translation management, organizations are able to drive improved translator efficiency by integrating data, projects, tasks and people to overcome the most common translation delivery challenges.
Only with a scalable workflow technology it is possible to streamline the delivery of complex multi-lingual content and be better equipped to match resources to projects. SDL TeamWorks 2008 manages the translation supply chain by linking project preparation, translation, review and quality assurance. Through its integration with SDL Trados 2007 Suite, which includes automated translation, SDL TeamWorks 2008 helps to increase the volume output of translatable text more quickly and at a lower cost. SDL TeamWorks 2008 also includes one of the most extensive file filter framework in the industry, which provides resources to successfully carry out any translation project.
"SDL TeamWorks 2008 extends SDL’s market leadership position in Global Information Management, allowing companies to seamlessly connect their translation management processes with a network of over 150,000 language professionals relying on SDL Trados translation software." said Keith Laska, Vice President of SDL Trados Technologies. "With eight out of ten executives placing internal efficiency at the top of their agenda, SDL TeamWorks 2008 concentrates on the right areas — driving quality and reducing costs through translation management that is fully integrated into SDL Trados, the industry standard translation environment."
