Axentis Announces Relationship with Littler Mendelson
Axentis, provider of on-demand governance, risk and compliance (GRC) management solutions, has announced that Littler Mendelson, the nation's largest labor and employment law firm, is providing it with legal services relating to the development of Axentis Privacy Management Suite, the industry's only software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering dedicated to addressing privacy management. The organization will play a critical role in helping Axentis understand, analyze and address key privacy issues.
"Trustworthiness is vital to the success of a company. One of the key criteria driving this is protecting the information of its customers and employees," said Roger Bottum, vice president of marketing at Axentis.
With approximately 500 attorneys in more than 30 major metropolitan areas nationwide, Littler Mendelson is the largest law firm in the United States devoted exclusively to representing management in employment, employee benefits and labor matters. The firm's Privacy and Data Protection Practice Group focuses on the full range of privacy and information security affecting employers. Working with Axentis, Littler Mendelson will provide counsel on Axentis' Privacy Management Suite as well as a wide range of privacy and data protection issues. The firm also will serve as an ongoing legal advisor to Axentis.
"Privacy has become a major discussion point for corporations looking to ensure their long-term viability," said Philip Gordon, chair of Littler Mendelson's Privacy and Data Protection Practice Group. "Through this relationship with Axentis, our experienced team of attorneys will be able to offer insights into the compliance challenges that many organizations are now confronting, helping them reduce the risk of privacy violations and security breaches that can expose the organization to civil litigation, government enforcement action, employee disgruntlement, and embarrassing publicity."
The Axentis Privacy Management Suite is designed to empower Global 2000 companies, government entities and educational institutions to successfully address the key issues that directly impact corporate reputation, consumer confidence, employee trust and protection of intellectual property. In addition to its relationship with Littler Mendelson, Axentis is a partner with the Ponemon Institute, an organization dedicated to advancing responsible information and privacy management practices in business and government.
