New PeopleSoft General Manager to Lead PeopleSoft Enterprise Organization
As part of its "Application Unlimited" program, Oracle has appointed a general manager to run the PeopleSoft Enterprise organization. The general manager model was conceived to benefit customers by centralizing leadership, development and delivery efforts around each product line. Doris Wong, who has more than 22 years of experience developing enterprise applications, including 11 years at PeopleSoft, will serve as general manager for the PeopleSoft Enterprise product line. Her focus will be on the strategic direction and development of current and future PeopleSoft solutions.

"This release is the culmination of a year-long project to deliver on customer requested enhancements and integrate core components of the Oracle Fusion Middleware family with PeopleSoft applications," said Wong. "Forward-thinking architects and developers are addressing the complexity of their application and IT environments with SOA to create modular business services that can be easily integrated and reused, creating a truly flexible, adaptable IT infrastructure. PeopleSoft Enterprise Release 9 allows customers to continue down a path toward a SOA."
